So, clubhouse for those who don’t know, is the latest social media platform where people can interact, meet new people, and network. You can utilize it to make new friends or promote your business. Some people, use it to learn.
Initially, it was only a available to people who had an iPhone and you needed an invite from someone who was already on the platform. Then, it opened up to android users.
When I first got on clubhouse, i felt like it was a goldmine of information. People shared all sorts of things from business tips to relationship tips. I was glad I was on it during the winter. I did notice that when the weather got warmer, there was less people giving free information.
Well, now that the summer is over and people are gravitating back towards clubhouse, I’m seeing all of the fraud that happens on there. And all of the gossiping that happens behind the scenes
There are some people who truly don’t have friends, and they use clubhouse to make new friends. There’s nothing wrong with that, however if you don’t want any new friends, you need to be mindful of the people on there.
I would suggest creating a Twitter account specifically for clubhouse. Because there is limited information people can find out you on Twitter. I don’t suggest using your personal account for clubhouse. People will fact check you and create drama. Now, I’ve been in rooms where such things have happened. They will drag your name through the mud on there. So, if you like live verbal fights, make sure you keep a lot about yourself private.
For me, like I said, it’s been a goldmine. I learned about astrology and the natal chart on there, I learned what a traditional housewife looks like, I’ve learned about stocks, cryptocurrencies, and real estate. I also learned about certain subscriptions for decorating and cooking.
There are also a lot of frauds. There are people who practice witchcraft, as in the real black magic make you lose everything you own type of witchcraft. If you’re not into that type of thing, here is what to look for:
When someone says, “Love and light”, or “Gratitude”. If they’re talking about Chakras, types of sages, tarot cards, Oracle cards, money jars, talks of new or full moon rituals/manifesting, and candle making. These people do more behind the scenes then they outwardly say.
Before you pay for a product or service, check for a website and contact information. If it looks shady it probably is. Anybody can have a website. You need to be able to find resources to find and contact that person.
Pay attention to what people say and hear what they’re not saying. If you don’t know a word that they used, Google the definition. If someone wants $1k for a class or course, you should just go to a college or Udemy.com. Alot of times, they prey on gullible people, and the information is something you can get from Google. Save your money.
I’ve noticed that the real people who can be trusted, tell the truth, and genuinely want to help will charge a low fee. Like $15 or $100. Something low and affordable for everyone.
So, that’s my take on clubhouse. You can either use it to your benefit strategically, or get caught up in the drama. You get to choose.
